Last Thursday I attended the Spring/Summer launch of Chloe Townsend’s very fabulous & iconic leather accessory collection. Inspired by Lear’s poem The Owl and The Pussycat, the design elements were unashamedly vibrant. Think shimmering metallics & tropical colours applied to handbags, shoes and belts in Chloe’s bold trademark style. The collection begs to be shown off, and if you’re looking for a key accessory piece for this summer, you need not look anywhere else.
As you can see, it’s all about layering and textures, cut-outs, zig-zags, multi-coloured stitching, and none more evident than in the Vicious Fishes clutch bags above. The Bag O’ Booty pouches on the right, are ideal day-night options with detachable straps.
The salmon skewers were a favourite due to their presentation and taste. Quickly seared and topped with a fresh, chunky dill & lemon dressing, these were amazing and disappeared very quickly!
Gorgonzola and preserved green fig tartlets were beautifully presented and had caramelized on top, concentrating the rich flavours even further. English-style pork sausages had been baked in a honey & mustard seed dressing, and were quite simple, but so tasty.
